Hi, welcome to my Arabic learning journey!

I am not alone on this journey. I have my teacher by my side.

Before I met her, I was studying Arabic as a self-study. I love self-study!

I learned Japanese on my own. And when I decided to learn Arabic, I was thinking it would not be much different.

But, I was wrong. I was learning Japanese while living in Japan, so I was able to immerse myself in Japanese, and get much help from people around me. But not so with Arabic! And even when I want to enroll in Arabic class, it has to be either in English or in Japanese.

Well, I have been teaching myself Arabic in both English and Japanese, because those are the available learning material easily found. But then, I had the chance to study Arabic in my tongue, Bahasa Indonesia, in 2018. I was able to stay there for one year, and enrolled in a small Arabic class, attended by a small group of women. I met my teacher there.

Returning to Japan, I came back to self-study again. Until the Corona Outbreak gave us the “Online Course” boom! I was able to reconnect with my teacher, and I have been studying online with her for four years now!

This website is my learning log documenting our 90 minutes, once a week Arabic Lessons.

I hope you find something to learn here. And please let me know if you have any comments or questions. Also, if you happen to find mistakes, I would appreciate it if you inform me so I can correct them.
